Touch of Midas

This piece is a low fired organic shape fired to cone 2. Its intention was to deal with how wealth affects many individuals in a negative way. This organic shape has a gold glaze that drips and spreads throughout it, as if corrupting the piece. In no way is money evil but it can bring out the worst in people, and that is what this piece deals with.
